I would say the a couple of the biggest safety issues are that some designs can make a gyro unstable and there is a better chance of a bunt over, or pilot induced oscillations. Horizontal stabilizer is the best way to overcome this issue.? Center-line thrust can help your gyro be more stable as well. Lack of training can be an issue too. Thanks for the info ... You simply need to push your control forward and/or add throttle to keep from sinking. You can't stall in a gyro, you just sink. If you are looking for a really nice gyroplane, check out the auto-gyros. Go to airgyro.com to see some info on them. Landing is similar. You approach and flair. It feels quite a bit? different though. When you actually touch down in a gyro you are usually going pretty slow.
