I think this world is going in the wrong direction to be honest, driving a car isn't about how? awesome your sound system is and how many screens you have. It's about getting to your destination safely without killing yourself or anyone else. How can this be achieved when you have so many? distractions? You can have all the tech in the world but that does nothing but create even more distraction.

In regards to the Kenmore Elite commercial, you know what would be funny, he puts all the stuff in the fridge? showing how big it is, then he puts in the baby..lolzz

They share technologies. For example a system very similar to Audi's MMI shown in this video is? in the Lamborghini Aventador.

Ignore the videos then. Brian Cooley and Car Tech? form an essential part of cnet that many of us love.

What car companies need to get rid? of is those silly distracting screens on the dashboard of mid to high end cars. Those are a big distraction and require a learning curve and some idiot on the road is going to try to update their FB status while on the freeway. They should go back to button ergonomics where any switch that manages the car's performance such as TC, ESP etc is at the driver's reach. Electronic technology is more than just silly screens catered for pretentious douches.

What??? First of all for some MORONS around here....Safety yesss it should be standar but all the safety gadgets COST MONEY!!! You cant put al those gadgets on every car and then sell? the car in a very cheap price!!! If you want ALL cars to have the BEST os safety!! Because THAT should Be standar then i guess everybody needt to start buying cars from 22-25$,000 ahead and as far as i know NOT everybody can afford a $22,000 car!

I think more research into making the car drive itself (safely) should be more important than all those distractions. When I can sit back in any seat of the car and not do the driving THEN I would like to use those? features. Seriously, why would you want to look at a photo while driving?

By: davewhodavedunn. on 22 May 12, 02:24:33
Very interesting! Unfortunately the safety tech is not standard in every vehicle. Like bluetooth. Come on, we all NEED it. Blind spot warning, blind spot intervention, rear camera, smart cruise control. These should all be? standard and we would all be safer!
By: gene978. on 22 May 12, 02:11:28
I'm still amazed by? the majority of people holding phones to their ears while driving and not using some sort of Bluetooth device, or the in car Bluetooth system. It drives me crazy! You can buy a in ear device for as low as $20 and be so much safer people.
