This? is why TWIT is worth watching, even here in Scotland!
By: Beaupedia. on 29 Sep 11, 12:11:04
My point is that you are part of a financially insignificant minority of puritans that want the world to cater to your idea? of morality. Unfortunately for you, it's not the real world the rest of us live in.
By: chuckiej. on 29 Sep 11, 10:56:48
Basically, you have not presented a sound argument as? to why they should ignore my plea.
By: chuckiej. on 29 Sep 11, 10:55:28
I appreciate your knowledge of TWiT. I also am keeping up with such things. Leo and Lisa have made it pretty clear that they are not going to keep the status quo. New shows, new hosts, will slowly join the team; the Network will keep growing. But in order to keep certain shows afloat, we need to get more viewers to the network. Thankfully the TWiT show? itself is doing pretty well. But yes, offending a potentially large group of geeks with a simple thing like show titles is a bad idea.

I have to agree, while Oh Doctah seems like a nice enough guy, he doesn't really belong on TWiT. That being said, from what I can tell, he isn't? usually invited on but rather just shows up, Leo has booted him in the past when a real guest arrived and the mic/chair was needed.

Last I heard TWiT was around 3? million in revenue for the year. I'm sure they'll be ok without you and the other puritans.

Being adults and being accepting of crudeness have nothing to do with each other. My morality also has nothing to do with it. The morality of lots of hard working geeks who won't click on a video (and? therefore be advertised to, and therefore become income for TWiT), does however apply to the TWiT network. They certainly want to increase viewership but are instead hindering it. I hold out hope...
By: Beaupedia. on 27 Sep 11, 07:58:47
No one said? they NEEDED to, but they certainly can, we're adults. Your morality does not apply to the rest of us.
By: x3software. on 25 Sep 11, 23:36:00
It's not so much crude as it is everyone sitting in a room and just having a conversation about a topic - I like that. If you want something organized and boring, watch? real TV.
By: jsphillips86. on 24 Sep 11, 15:29:15
I don't like O'Docta? either. He seems a better fit or NSFW. TWIT is often crude and disorganized also
By: chuckiej. on 23 Sep 11, 16:36:59
An adult does not need to resort to crudeness for humor. Episode titles for TWiT used to be? humorous without that.
By: Beaupedia. on 22 Sep 11, 19:17:39
What is this?? The 1700s? You're an adult aren't you?
By: ImMarko123. on 21 Sep 11, 22:43:47
When will the 2nd part be available? on youtube? If I'm not mistaken, it was recorded last week.
By: niceified. on 21 Sep 11, 00:31:55
I hope they don't move NSFW to Saturday. If they do, I probably won't be able to watch live anymore. Tuesday is perfect for? me.
By: CallMeDjm. on 20 Sep 11, 00:31:07
Well, apparently, having John Dvorak on every show possible? will solve all TWiT's problems....
By: sidasify. on 19 Sep 11, 01:22:30
Do you guys count listens on stitcher? I listen? to all my podcasts through stitcher
By: nighthawk006phoenix. on 17 Sep 11, 23:29:28
This is one of the top shows? on the network!
By: zevmag. on 17 Sep 11, 19:24:02
You should let John Dvorak sit in your chair? at the round table(TWIT).
By: Nailhead. on 16 Sep 11, 19:26:34
Some excellent insight here. One thing I'd like to? hear more on TWiT is definitely Dvorak.
By: LanceTOsborne. on 16 Sep 11, 18:31:18
Thanks for the candor, guys. It makes us fans? feel like a part of the team.
By: MrVaedry. on 15 Sep 11, 20:18:07
Very interesting to watch - with regards This Week in Tech declining figures I've slowed down on listening to it and the general tone seems to have gone downhill. In addition I just don't get some of the guests - Baratunde and OhDoctah in particular seem to appeal to a very American audience and their? style just annoys. Overall TWiTs great though - and I love the idea of an all videos feed I can subscribe to (*please* Colin?)!
By: fooey88. on 15 Sep 11, 19:21:45
if you stop putting? 'oh doctor' on, i'll become a regular viewer again
By: Agnostic2008. on 15 Sep 11, 16:23:55
Show? idea: I would love Randal Shwartz to teach about programming, but in language other than Perl.
By: Agnostic2008. on 15 Sep 11, 16:20:14
I don't? want shows shorter than 15 minutes
By: Agnostic2008. on 15 Sep 11, 15:57:21
I like Dvorak, invite? him more
