That is just so RIGHT!!! Man you have make the best comment I had ever seen in youtube by far; you should work for Sony, not like a bunch of idiots at the sony style stores that they don't even know the name of the cameras models. You can get what you want, I was just pointing out some pros of the Hx100v over the SX30IS. It's up to? you though, of course.

The HX100v has the best video quality I have seen in it's class. The SX30IS is a nice camera, but if you really care about video, the Sony is the way to go. The Canon only does 720p video, probably at 30fps. The Sony does 1080p video at 60fps. You video will look better and smoother, not to mention, the video stabilization is the best I've seen without a rig. Also, don't judge the quality of this camera's video quality from the video above, YouTube's compression ruins it. ?
