It's not like the guy tried to bite him or fuck him in the ass. I can understand the shove and the anger. But the backhand went too far. ? He lost his cool. It's happened to me as well. But hitting a guy when you know you're on camera(s) is so out of control. They should BOTH publicly apologize to one another. Smith is held to a higher standard and rightfully so. What would he do to his wife if she pissed him off enough? Hit her? It is NOT cool at all.

In Will Smith's defense, not everyone practices "kissing etiquette". So I doubt he was prepared for the reporter to do? that. Also, the reporter didn't seem to be "kissing the air".

I agree.. it was very rude and hurtful, what Will did. What I saw him display was like the phenomena called "slave community" and is from a colture that evolved among black communities within the USA whom were decedents of slaves.. and how they? carry forward a way of being that is violent, because it is something that their slave masters did to thier ancestors generations ago.. and was carry? forward generation to generation /watch?v=D3kvUdOQ20k

And you have to admit that it's at least a LITTLE odd to start kissing a person you just met. Especially if it's a celebrity since you don't know how they're going to respond to stuff. Also, to be fair, the guy DID ask for a hug and Will agreed; but he just started kissing him out? of nowhere.

The guy did NOT kiss him on the lips. You shouldn't backhand someone because you believe he "tried" to kiss you? on the lips. Not in this situation. It was like, "here's a backhand for good measure". Totally arrogant. He always thought he was hot shit. Even in school. Read his bio.

"Dude" the guy asked Smith for a hug and he agreed. They hugged. Smith patted him on the back. (you can see that in other videos and this one if you look closely). I'm not a celebrity and neither are you. There's a difference. It was a "meet and greet" on the red carpet.?

Has the reporter been interviewed after this assault? Any word about him planning to sue for damages? Will has a bit of a hot potato on his hands now. I could tell Will knew he did the wrong thing after? he did it when trying to rationalize his inappropriate behavior. very disappointed in him. Imagine what he is? teaching his kids.. about being violent against other people..

this is a much better video showing what happened.. Will Smith? really messed up and I am disappointed in him.. He needs to apologies for assaulting that reporter and for defamation of his character. and threatening more violence against him.. He needs to take responsibility and do the right thing.. and make this situation right.
