I used to have the 2003 Astra Bertone, which never gave me any problems then in 2007 I bought the TwinTop brand new and after 28,000 miles the clutch went and I had? to pay over £1000 to fix. The 2007 build of Astra is nothing but awful as they are built with very cheap parts. The car seems strong on the outside but? cheap on the inside. I am now looking to fix, sell and buy a Mercedes CLS. Stay away from Vauxhalls!

By: kuvy83. on 21 Feb 12, 19:53:32 One year later,? the problem was exactly this one, the "winglets" stopped working, and since it was Sunday and no car shop was open I had to use the emergency manual to close the roof. The trunk locker got broken, so the price of that fixing raised to ?900. And now 2 years later here I am with the same problem with the trunk locker which impedes the roof to complete the closing procedure. It keeps making the noise of closing but it doesn't lock the trunk.

I've spent 5 months with borrowed cars (which where hard to get) and the car has been in 3 different Opel car shops to solve the problem. I have presented obviously several complaints to Opel but they were in vain. After 5 months without the car finally the problem got solved. By that time, of course it was covered by warranty.
