Nikon D5100 Video test

Video duration: 300 seconds
Video of my cat, Lisa, chilling on a desk and showing the camera how cute she is.
Captured with the 18-55mm kit lens, 1080p 25fps. Used manual focus in order to avoid the autofocus motor sound. No colour correction.
The actual raw file is slightly sharper and has higher contrast, but Sony Vegas dumbed it down a bit.

Oh, one more thing, the canon supposedly has a tougher build, but unless you throw your camera around that is, again, not an issue. Canon is? a much larger company than Nikon and they generally charge more for their products, although the features don't justify it, I think. You're welcome.

K, i just wanted to know the diffrence between them because i was thinking why is the canon much more expensive than the? nikon.. I'd never saw any diffrence about them, but thanks very much.

After a couple of months of research I've gone for the Nikon for its overall greater sharpness, better low light performance, built in intervalometer for making time-lapse videos (which was paramount for me) and slightly lower price. The only thing the 600D has over? it is a better video mode, but I find that single plus to be insufficient for me.
