I think the main problem with finding a dubbed voice for Luffy is that a character as zany and off the wall? as him requires a really unique exhilarated ,yet at the same time boyish voice. A straight mimic may not be good, but they still did it wrong. Some shows you can get away with it, like Bleach. Japanese voices, but don't think a straight mimic of Mayumi Tanaka's voice would be appropriate. That said, I really feel sorry for her voice box. That's? awesome!!
