They can come as quickly as 10 minutes or as slowly as 10 hours, and there are so many variables that it's impossible for me to tell you what time frame is/isn't acceptable for any dove to lay its eggs. PERSONALLY, if MY dove were laying and it didn't come out within about 10-12 hours I'd probably call my vet as a precautionary? measure in case the bird is in distress or the egg is stuck.
