I purposely made the kick-drums more bassy and subdued by EQing them down and reducing the "attack" when they first hit, because I thought they sound quite generic (fake). Maybe I took it a little too far. The main bass isn't supposed to be distorted at all but should be nice and smooth, it's an instrument in F.L.
